Mission:
- Conduct quantitative research and analysis to identify potential trading opportunities across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, commodities, and derivatives.
- Develop, validate, and refine mathematical models and trading algorithms to optimise trading strategies and improve performance.
- Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide quantitative solutions to enhance trading effectiveness.
- Utilise statistical and econometric techniques to analyse market data, identify patterns, and forecast market movements.
- Perform risk analysis and develop risk management tools to mitigate potential losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and emerging technologies in quantitative finance to continuously improve trading strategies and methodologies.
Ideal skill sets:
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis tools, libraries, and statistical techniques.
- Solid understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, and market microstructure.
