As a Partner Actuarial with a strong consulting background, local market experience, and business development focus, you will play a critical role in driving growth initiatives, leading and developing the local team, and providing strategic guidance to clients. This position requires a deep understanding of actuarial principles, strong business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.
- Drive business development efforts, including identifying potential clients, cultivating existing relationships, and expanding our client base within the Japanese market.
- Utilize your strong consulting background to provide strategic guidance and deliver innovative solutions to clients, leveraging actuarial expertise and management consulting principles.
- Foster seamless integration of actuarial and management consulting services by collaborating closely with internal teams, enhancing client outcomes and satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor a team of talented professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills and overall professional growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging market dynamics to proactively identify potential risks and opportunities for clients.
- Actively participate in industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to build brand awareness, establish professional connections, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 15+ years of experience in actuarial and management consulting roles within the Japanese market.
- Strong business development focus, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
- Professional actuarial qualifications (FSAJ, FIAJ, ASA, FSA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the Japanese market, including regulatory frameworks, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically, analyze complex problems, and develop innovative solutions.
