Our Client is a Supply Chain Sustainability newly set up platform who are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join their innovative team. The COO will be responsible for developing and executing the overall business strategy, driving the company’s vision, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, motivating teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall business strategy in alignment with the company’s vision and goals.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
• Drive operational excellence and efficiency by developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and improve business performance.
• Oversee and optimise the supply chain management process, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement, production, and delivery of goods and services.
• Collaborate closely with the Co-Founders to develop and implement strategies for revenue growth, cost optimisation, and profitability enhancement.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organisation, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, increase productivity, and enhance customer value.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, including the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, to make data-driven decisions and develop strategies for financial growth and stability.
• Provide leadership and guidance to department heads and managers, promoting a culture of accountability, professional development, and employee engagement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a COO or similar top-level management position.
• Ambitious, entrepreneurial with a start-up mindset.
• Strong business acumen with a track record of developing and executing successful business strategies.
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve high levels of performance.
• Experience in developing and implementing KPIs, metrics, and performance management systems.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, including procurement, production, and logistics.
• Financial acumen and experience in analysing financial statements, managing budgets, and driving profitability.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
